Workflow, Production Planning and Logistics with Petri Nets
Petri nets are suitable for modelling sequences and processes and therefore for workflow applications and production planning. The focus is on the development of Petri nets, where tokens are complex objects. In workflow systems, these token objects represent the classical workflow network, which is active in the environment of actors, functional units and general resources. During execution, workflow actions can be completely observed and controlled by the user. Modelling experiments are supported by a specifically developed Java-based tool.
