Knowledge Management, Semantic Web and Multimedia Information Processing
Knowledge based applications greatly benefit from the organisation and categorisation of knowledge content,
e.g. with innovative techniques for knowledge presentation or with concepts for the construction of knowledge-management
architectures in organisations.
Main focus is the access to multimedia information. This requires techniques, which establish a semantic context between
texts, tables, drawings, pictures, movies, language, music
and other forms of information. An example application could be personalised information presentation.
HITeC can draw from a large pool of knowledge and experience due to years of research and due to numerous industrial
cooperations in this field.
