Information Systems for Enterprise Ecology

Information systems for enterprise ecology have the task to systematically capture ecologically relevant information in an enterprise. This information needs to be processed and made available for different purposes. Hereby a company is enabled to introduce measures for avoiding or reducing negative ecological impacts. A software based on material flow networks has been developed and successfully used in numerous organisations. It allows to create ecology information systems, company eco balances, and product balances in combination with process cost calculations. This is a first step towards a sustainable development.
